NHS vaccinations

It’s important to make sure that your child has all of their routine childhood vaccinations. It’s the most effective way of keeping them protected against infectious diseases.

Ideally, children should have their vaccinations at the right age to protect them as early as possible and to minimise the risk of infection.

Your GP will be able to tell you what vaccinations children need. You can also find more information about children’s vaccinations and benefits on the NHS website.

There are some things you can do to help yourself stay well in winter. This includes getting your flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. You can find out more from the NHS Website

If you are travelling abroad and think you may require vaccinations, please complete our Travel Vaccination Form with details of your trip.

Once we receive your completed form, our administration team will either contact you to arrange an appointment or send you a link to book an appointment with a member of our nursing team.

Your completed form and vaccination history will be reviewed by the nurse at your appointment, who will assess which NHS travel vaccinations are appropriate for your trip.

Vaccinations we provide

We only provide travel vaccinations that are available free of charge on the NHS. These are:

• Polio
• Typhoid
• Hepatitis A
• Cholera

If you require any other travel vaccinations, these will need to be arranged privately. We do not provide private travel vaccinations.

Please plan ahead

Travel vaccination appointments must be booked at least 6 weeks before your date of travel. 

This allows time for your travel health assessment and any recommended vaccination schedules.

If you are travelling within 6 weeks, please contact a private travel clinic or pharmacy offering travel health services, as they may be able to offer vaccinations at shorter notice.
