NHS vaccinations

It’s important to make sure that your child has all of their routine childhood vaccinations. It’s the most effective way of keeping them protected against infectious diseases.

Ideally, children should have their vaccinations at the right age to protect them as early as possible and to minimise the risk of infection.

Your GP will be able to tell you what vaccinations children need. You can also find more information about children’s vaccinations and benefits on the NHS website.

There are some things you can do to help yourself stay well in winter. This includes getting your flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. You can find out more from the NHS Website

We do not offer a travel advisory service and all patients wishing to receive travel vaccines will need to contact a private travel clinic such as NOMAD (0117 922 6567) or a MASTA Travel clinic (0330 100 4141).

Following your visit, the clinic will provide you with a report advising the vaccinations required for your trip. Once you have this, please contact the practice to book an appointment for your vaccinations. We will ask for a copy of your report to be sent to us prior to your appointment. 

The vaccines that we can offer as a NHS service are Polio, Typhoid, Hepatitis A and Chlorea. For any vaccines outside of this list, the private clinic will be able to provide these for you.

It may take up to eight weeks for a full course of vaccinations, so please contact us well in advance to give yourself plenty of time if you’re planning to go abroad where you’re required to be vaccinated.
